Portfolio can comprise of;

Projects (Managed by Project Managers)
Other work (Managed by Operations teams)

Products can be classified into four segments based on their;
Market Growth Rate
Relative Market Share
High Market share - High Market Growth Rate segment (Star) - Contains the star products which has the potential to become future cash cows
High Market Share - Low Market Growth Rate segment (Cow) - Contains the current cash cows which do not have a great future ahead
Low Market Share - Low Market Growth Rate segment (Dog) - Contains those projects who have reached end of life (Dog) and must be scrapped
Low Market Share - High Market Growth Rate segment (Question Mark) - Contains 'Question Marks' which may or may not get into the 'Star' segment
